I made soup with leftovers, tuna hakusai for breakfast. It was really good. Tuna hakusai is just cooked with sugar and soy sauce(I will publish the recipe next time). It comes with lots of juice from the hakusai. I added some water and made it soup. I will have the leftover on purpose when I make tuna hakusai next time.
I had lunch at Japanese restaurant on business. That was a tasting party for an event. The menu had mostly pork and I had pork shabu shabu. Shabu Shabu is a Japanese food and bathe a very thin slice of meat in hot broth until being cooked, and dip it in the sauce. Shabu Shabu has usually beef, but this time I had pork. It was difficult to get a perfect time. I needed to cook pork, but if I bathed it too long, it tasted bad. As that was a special menu, I won't publish this restaurant.

About dinner..... yes, we had pork tongue. We eat cow's and pork tongue on the grill. Does it sound disgusting? I understand. J didn't seem happy to have it. But I know tongue stew is popular. Where is it from? Anyway, all I wanna say is, TONGUE IS TASTY!

Onion & Kale Kakiage

I am trying to develop kale recipes. Kale is new for me. In Japan it is know as an ingredient of a healthy drink, but it is not popular to eat. In fact, I haven't seen it at a market. I have lived in Brazil 1 year and I just started buying it recently. J's mom told me that it is sold in the U.S. I would like to have more kale recipes before going back to the U.S.
Onion & Kale Kakiage is very simple and easy, which is usual for my recipes. Kakiage is fried mixture of several kinds of vegetable pieces. I add garlic and it tastes good for beer!

Ingredients : serve 2 - 3
1/2 middle onion - slice
1 leaf kale - shred
1 clove garlic - chop into pieces
3 tbs flour
3 tbs water
salt

Preparation :
1. Mix all ingredients
2. Scoop up #1 by a spoon and deep-fry until getting light brown
3. Picked up from the oil and drain on a paper towel
4. Sprinkle salt as you like

Finally, I used shiso up. It took almost 1 week. I like it, but shiso is a kind of herb and we don't need to have it every day. I pickled some to preserve it. I made fried rice for lunch and thanks to shiso, I used less salt.
I bought a lot of kale leaves at a market. I made onion and kale fritter. It was good.
