It was a noodle day. Pasta for lunch and Ramen for dinner. I was going to eat out but we changed our mind. However, I didn't feel like cooking. So I picked ramen, which is easy to make. H is always hungry for ramen and I am sure that my choice made him happy. Besides, I just received a package from mom in Japan and she sent some good ramen. We liked it. Thanks, mom.

I had lunch at my friend's place. She made falafel. It was really good. I had a same recipe but I never tried to make it. She did good job. When I am hungry for falafel, I will call her. Thanks, Ms. F!

Lunch : Leftovers of last night(rice, kimch, pumpkin, okura), a glass of water, a glass of cafe-au-leit
I was not going to take a picture of Lunch, but it looked good to gather them on the plate. Doesn't it look like a plate for vegan?
Japanese curry is different from Indian cuisine. Stew meat and vegetables in the pot, and add curry mix. You can get the curry mix at a Japanese grocery store. It is easy to make and popular food in Japan. The ingredients of tonight's curry are carioca beans, carrots, onions, corn and grean peas. I put a boiled egg as animal protein. One package of curry mix serves 4. I am sure that I will have the curry for lunch tomorrow. I am kinda looking forward to tomorrow's lunch. I like curry!

DinnerH made Hamburger. That means he was really hungry for hamburger. Didn't he have hamburger last week, too? Ok, whatever. I always like H's hambarger. To have less carbs, I sliced bun in 3 and got rid of middle part. Isn't it a good idea? I know it doesn't make a big difference, but it just eases my mind.
Tori soboro don(cooked minced chicken on the rice in a bowl)

We went to Parque Ibirapuera(Ibirapuera park), which is one of the most popular parks in Sao Paulo. There are lots of people enjoying running, walking and spending time with families. We stopped at a food stand in one corner of the park. We picked bread buns. It looked like bread buns and there was meat inside. H's looked like a no-veggies hambuger.

Hamburg, which is hamburger without a bun. In Japan, we eat hamburg more often than hamburger at home. I made hamburg without meat and was going to publish the recipe on my blog, but it was not good enough.
BTW, I ate and drank madly last night, but I lost 1 pound. Lucky me! I am sure that someone from "Jan and Robin's blog" would be so mad at me.

You can cook rice without a rice cooker. I sometime cook rice with some ingredients, but this is the basic. Here's the recipe.
Ingredients : serves 3 - 4 ( 3 - 4 cups)
160 cc rice
200 cc water
1. Wash rice and drain well.
2. Put rice and water in the pot, which has heavy lid is preferred
3. Put it on the stove and let it boil.
4. Use very low heat, put the lid on and cook for 12 min. NEVER open the lid.
5. Turn off the heat and cook by steam for 10 min. NEVER open the lid.
Note : During cooking, Do not open the lid, or you would ruin the rice. That's why I recommend you to use the heavy lid. I use Le Creuset pot. I like it.
The picture of dinner is H's. I didn't have salmon and had less rice than H. The fried rice for lunch might look darker in color than usual. I added more soy sauce. To tell the truth, the lid of the soy sauce bottle fell out. I had thought I ruined lunch, but it was ok.
1 pack tofu (firm one is preferred)
1 small onion
1 clove garlic
1 slice ginger
1 tbs chopped green onion
1 hot chilli pepper
1/2 tsp torigara soup stock (chinese chicken soup stock)
2 tbs miso paste
1 tbs soy sauce
a little sesami oil
1 cup(8 oz) water
1. Cut into large bite-sized tofu and Grate onion
2. Chop garlic, ginger and hot chilli pepper
3. Mix onion, torigara soup stock, miso paste, soy sauce and water
4. Put sesami oil, green onion and #2 in the pan and cook until it comes good smell
5. Add #3 and tofu and cooked for 10 min.
It is sometimes difficult to grate the last piece of onion. You can chop the rest of the onion and cook with other ingredients at #4.
